Green tea extract to get rid of acne

There are many products available in the market with green tea extract like moisturizers, facewashes. Using these products can help you get rid of acne. They have an immediate effect on your acne. You can also use soaked tea bags, keep them on the acne-prone area for about 10 minutes twice a day.

Aloe vera to get rid of acne

Whatever the skin issue is, aloe vera is always there to help you. It gives soothing relief to your acne area. Apply the aloe vera plant gel on the acne-prone area, keep it for 10 minutes, and wash your face. You can also use aloe vera gel available in the market.

Apple cider vinegar to get rid of acne

Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar and three parts water (remember, use more water for sensitive skin). Gently apply the mixture to the skin using a cotton ball. Let it sit for 5–20 seconds, rinse with cold water and pat dry. Repeat this process 1–2 times per day.

It is important to note that apple cider vinegar can cause burns and irritation to your skin. If you choose to try it, use it a small amount and dilute it with water or add honey to it if required.

Honey cinnamon mask to get rid of acne

Mix 2 tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon to form a paste, apply the mask to your face and leave it on for 10–15 minutes. Rinse the mask off thoroughly and pat your face dry.

Honey and cinnamon have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties. They can help reduce acne.

Banana peels

After you’ve eaten a banana, don’t throw away the peel! I say that because bananas are rich in potassium, vitamins, and minerals, many of which are stored in the peel. This nourishing group of nutrients will help strengthen the barrier of your skin and protect it from breakouts.

Cut out a small portion of a ripe banana peel and place the inner white side over your skin. Rub it gently for 10 minutes and wash your face. Repeat this twice a day, and within a couple of days, you can say goodbye to pimples!

Ice the pimple to get rid of acne

One of the most effective ways to get rid of acne fast is also the cheapest. If you’re dealing with swelling on your face that’s causing pain, reach for an ice cube. Wrap it in a thin cloth and set it on the offending spot for three to four minutes. Repeat throughout the day to relieve pain and temporarily reduce swelling.

Baking soda to get rid acne

The next time a zit troubles you, remember that baking soda isn’t just for cakes. With its excellent exfoliating powers, baking powers strip away oily residue, balances the skin’s pH level, and eases irritation.

Gently rub a paste of baking powder and water directly on your pimple and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it away thoroughly and repeat it every alternate day.

Apply a paste of crushed aspirin

Applying a paste made of aspirin immediately removes excess oil and dead skin. It’s one of the home remedies that dermatologists recommend, and it even helps reduce pain at the application site. To make the paste, crush an aspirin with a spoon and swirl it with a few drops of water. Then apply it directly to the pimple.

Exfoliation to get rid of acne

Mix equal parts sugar and coconut oil, gently rub your skin with the mixture, and rinse well. Exfoliate as often as desired, up to once daily.

Exfoliation is the process of removing the top layer of dead skin cells. It may reduce the appearance of scars and discoloration.

Use skin care products and cosmetics that don’t cause acne.

These products are available in the market. On the package, you can see one of the following:

  • Make sure that your skin care product does not contain chemicals that clog pores.
  • It is always advisable to choose products that are Non-comedogenic in nature.
  • To use skin care products without causing adverse effects to the skin like acne, use cosmetics that are non acnegenic.
  • Weather your skin is oily or dry, go for oil free skin care products.

These products are safe to use for acne-prone skin.

Resist touching, picking, and popping your acne.

Popping a pimple may seem like the fastest way to clear it, but popping it makes things worse. Every time you touch, pick, or pop, you can worsen acne. So, avoid doing that, and if you feel itchy, you can use a soft cloth or a cotton ball, move it gently on the skin.

Wash the things regularly that touch your acne-prone skin.

Dead skin cells, bacteria, and dirt will build upon these surfaces, which can clog your pores. Washing what touches your acne-prone skin can prevent this.

Changing your sheets every week and your pillowcase two or three times a week can make a difference.

Improve your food habit

When you want to get rid of acne, it’s essential to look at your body as a whole — diet, skin-care habits, topical products — to find a clear skin solution that will work for you. Some factors, such as genetics and skin type that influence acne, are beyond your control. However, what you eat can make a big difference in your overall skin health and acne production.

Some foods that are good for acne-prone skin-

  • Yellow and orange fruits and vegetables such as carrots, apricots, and sweet potatoes
  • Spinach and other dark green and leafy vegetables
  • Tomatoes
  • Blueberries
  • Whole-wheat bread
  • Brown rice
  • Quinoa
  • Turkey
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Beans, peas, and lentils
  • Salmon, mackerel, and other kinds of fatty fish
  • Nuts (especially peanuts, almonds, hazelnuts, pistachios)

Everyone’s body is different, and some people find that they get more acne when they eat certain foods. Consult your doctor about your diet. Always take into account any food allergies or sensitivities you may have when planning your diet.
